GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 27 • 26 Brett Haan and Matt Frawley, have had up- and-down performances with ERAs of 4.50 and 4.64 in conference play, respectively. Nei- ther has received much help in terms of run support, and the bullpen has faltered at times with just three relievers with ERAs under 5.40. "It's easier to pitch when you have some runs on the board," Strong said. "We're really stressing right now to put some runs up and help our pitching staff out. They've had some really good outings and the offense has struggled." Strong said the dug - out has maintained a posi- tive attitude through the losing streak and the Boil- ermakers are confident they can salvage the sea- son with half of the Big Ten slate still remaining. "We know we're a good enough team to make some noise in the Big Ten this year," Strong s a i d . " T h e first half of this Big Ten season hasn't re- ally fazed it. We're learning from it and we're going to get better from it." TRACK AND FIELD OFF TO STRONG OUTDOOR START Track and field coach Lonnie Greene believed his team was primed for a big 2015 outdoor season. "We have some great events outdoors," Greene said follow- ing the Big Ten Indoor Championships. "We be- come a better team on both sides." The Boilermakers have lived up to Greene's expectation so far. Five school records have fallen in six out- door meets, with three coming in events not offered in the indoor season. j Links PurdueSports.com: Tennis closes regular season with loss PurdueSports.com: Two more school records fall for track PurdueSports.com: Xepoleas' ace clinches win over Badgers PurdueSports.com: Men's golf wraps regular season PurdueSports.com: Third annual Golden Petes set for Sunday Mets.com: Mets call up Plawecki LOVE THE BLACK LIVE LIKE *Subject to credit approval.
