7 Issue 76 / 2015 travel guestlist.net 23 Influential and much loved house crew Hard Times are all ready to make their first season of appearances in Ibiza this summer at Vista Club, in the grounds of Privilege. The famous house brand, label and party started way back in the '90s and were influential in introducing the UK to US house music, breaking acts like Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and David Morales. Steve Raine, Hard Times founder, had this to say about the exciting Ibiza move, "This has never been about creating an 'all our yesterdays' club event and label. I have no interest in that, it's about taking the best from our past and allowing clubbers of today to witness our unique Hard Times experience. We always saw ourselves as pioneers in the industry and I still maintain that ethos doing our thing our way." Hard Times are kicking things off with a huge opening party on June 20th featuring Todd Terry, Junior Sanchez, Mark Fanciulli, NiCe7, Mat Playford, and Jason Bye. The nights, running until September 12th, are set to be the hottest new tickets on the White Isle this summer – the likes of Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Doc Martin, Doorly, Hector Romero, Brett Johnson and many more will play at the weekly parties. Hard Times Glitterbox is a different kind of party. The "music first" policy means you can expect a weekly soundtrack of classic and contemporary house, disco and electronic music combined with a sense of glamour, which brings back the original spirit of Ibiza. Overseen by Glitterbox Creative Director, Mark Herman, this year brings new creative elements to the event including the artist, TradeMark, who designed the season's artwork, and club collective "Savage", consisting of Sink The Pink, Hot Heels and Nutbags dance crew, who will all bring their own unique energy to the night. Now held on Fridays at Space on Ibiza, the likes of Fatboy Slim, Hercules & Love Affair, Todd Terje, Simon Dunmore, Groove Armada, Julio Bashmore, Joey Negro, Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco, Tensnake, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, David Morales, Kings Of Tomorrow, Claudio Coccoluto, Norman Jay, Lovebirds, DJ Pippi, Smokin' Jo, Heller & Farley, Mousse T, The Shapeshifters, Luke Solomon, Purple Disco Machine, Copyright, DJ Antz, Basement Jaxx, The Magician, Soul Clap, DJ Spen, Mambo Brothers, Andy Baxter, Ron Basejam, Opolop, Boris Dlugosch will all be playing. Glitterbox Tribal Sessions is back with an even bigger and better line-up of forward thinking acts than ever. Sankeys Ibiza's flagship night continues to focus on underground stars and pioneering DJs, with the likes of Andhim, Boddika, Breach, Carlo Lio, Cera Alba, Cuartero, Dusky, Francois K, Gel Abril, Greg Vickers, Hector Couto, Julian Perez, Josh Wink, Jozef K, KiNK LIVE, Len Faki, Levon Vincent, Manu Gonzalez, Marquis Hawkes, Mr G LIVE, Noir, Philip Bader, Robert Hood Presents Floorplan, Scuba, Secondcity, SIS, 2 Vilas, and Winter Son all confirmed. As David Vincent has declared, "this is just the cake, the icing will follow soon". The night is built around two weekly residents – the talented Jozef K, who took home Best Newcomer at the first ever Sankeys awards in only his first full season, and hot house Ibicenco talent Manu Gonzalez. The whole season will be bookmarked by a huge opening and closing party, and in between more than 60 different artists will take charge of the famed Ibiza club. Tribal Sessions will follow suit from last year with the party starting at 9pm with a free BBQ on offer for those who get down before 10. Tribal Sessions We already knew that Do Not Sleep was going to be massive – the brand new night secured Vista Club in the grounds of Privilege as its home and Darius Syrossian, Santé and Sidney Charles are residents. Now we're sure of the fact with these massive line-ups. The official opening party is July 12th, with a DJ set from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and a special b2b set yet to be announced. July 19th then finds Objektivity boss Dennis Ferrer headlining, before the UK techno duo from Hotflush, Dense & Pika play on July 26th alongside Marquis Hawkes. August 2nd finds Leeds legend Paul Woolford headlining with Nathan Barato also spinning, and on the 9th Breach is joined by Marquis Hawkes. Dubstep pioneer Artwork, Jasper James and Dense & Pika all line up for a huge gathering on August 16th. Reboot joins the party on the 23rd alongside Luka Agnelli and Mirko Di Florio. Nathan Barato plays on August 30th with a special guest, and before a huge closing event that will be announced for September 6th brings a close to a stellar first year for Do Not Sleep.
