Over one million
humans have now
signed the petition to
stop Trump's state visit
to the UK. Theresa May
invited Trump to be
hosted by the queen
during a state visit to
the UK this year.
The visit's purpose is to celebrate
and deepen the friendship between
the leaders of the UK and the US.
The petition, on the UK
government's website, states the
following: 'Donald Trump should
be allowed to enter the UK in
his capacity as head of the US
government, but he should not
be invited to make an official
State Visit because it would cause
embarrassment to Her Majesty the
Queen'.
The amount of signatures a
government petition needs to
acquire before it gets debated
in parliament is 100,000, and
although over a million have now
signed the petition, 10 Downing
Street confirms that the UK will not
withdraw its invitation to Trump.
Whilst questioning democracy, we
Brits now anticipate the impending
proximity of the US president, who
