Much of the story in the first days of camp was the battle between true
freshman Danny Etling and fifth-year senior Rob Henry for the starting quarterback job. Things changed as camp progressed as Henry emerged as the
clear No. 1 and Etling settled in behind. But the duo showed on media day
that while the competition was spirited, it was also friendly.
In an attempt for an old-time football pose, Akeem Hunt leaps across the Ross-Ade
Stadium turf. The junior running back will be counted on to provide big plays for the
Boilermakers this fall, something he has been used to in his first two years, averaging
eight yards per rush attempt.
