A tribute to some of Purdue's top
coaches is front and center in
one of the hallways. Joe Tiller,
Jim Young, Jack Mollenkopf and
Hazell are featured. Because
the mural is outside of Hazell's
office, it serves as a reminder
to the new coach of what can be
accomplished at Purdue.
Arguably the most impressive feature of the entire renovation is the team
meeting room. This room was transformed by raising the ceiling enough to
allow for a theater-style space, replacing smaller desk chairs with cushy
seats and flipping the alignment of the chairs. "The facilities people told
me five times we couldn't get this done," Hazell said. "But we did it." There
are enough seats for the entire team and coaching staff.
