GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 18 • 23 from Houston and smaller schools. As a senior at Arlington's Mar- tin High School, Trussell caught 22 passes for 493 yards and seven touchdowns. "They like my size and my frame, to put on more weight and be able to run but also be able to get after it in the run game," Trus- sell after his visit. "We watched some film (during the visit) … and talked a little football and it looks a little similar to the offense I run in high school. There wouldn't be too much change, and I like that. I like the offense we've run for my school. It's pro-style and we run, run, then hit them with the pass. It keeps (defenses) on their toes." Nashville's Brycen Hopkins is the other tight end commitment. WARREN MAY COME FULL CIRCLE Former Purdue commitment Isaac Warren said he'd like to like to take an official visit to West Lafay- ette, even after he re-opened his recruitment in December. That visit will occur this weekend. Meanwhile, Warren's high school coach told Rivals. com that Purdue has "re-of- fered" the cornerback from Tyler, Texas. Warren had also fielded offers from Arizona State and SMU but said recently his remaining opportunities are mostly from the FCS lev- el. That was before Purdue scheduled his visit. RECRUITING NOTEBOOK R Defensive tackle Eddy Wilson, who commit- ted to Purdue after a visit last weekend, was immediately thereafter offered by Pitts- burgh and Iowa and may vis- it one of them this weekend, right before signing day. Michigan and Michigan State have also shown re- cent interest in the ex-Bowl- ing Green commitment. His primary recruiter for Purdue, Kevin Sherman, took a job at Pitt. R Chazmyn Turner, Purdue's lone high school defensive end commitment, has drawn interest from Virginia Tech and West Virgin- ia, but the Hokies appear to have withdrawn from his recruitment. The Mountaineers, however, may get a visit this weekend, at which time an offer may come, a situation Purdue may have to cover itself on during the last weekend prior to the signing date. R The basketball program had Fort Wayne 2017 center Malik Williams on campus Saturday af - ternoon for an unofficial visit. The 6-11 Snider big man already has an offer from Indiana. BASKETBALL RECRUIT TRACKER S Ryan Cline: The Carmel shooting guard was held to 11 points in the Greyhounds' 36-33 loss to Brownsburg. S Grant Weatherford: The Hamilton Heights guard scored 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting, with eight assists, seven steals and four rebounds in a win over Sheridan. S C.J. Walker: The 2016 Purdue commitment scored 29 in Indianapolis Tech's 86-79 loss to In - dianapolis Howe. j Rivals.com After already committing, then decommiting, DB Isaac Warren may wind up at Purdue after all.
