Isaac Haas, contending Iowa guard Mike Gesell's drive, was
extremely effective inside with a career-high four blocks
and four rebounds in 20 minutes, the most court time he
has logged since the Vanderbilt game on Dec. 12. Gesell
nearly beat the Boilermakers by himself, scoring his team's
last 12 points.
The play of sophomore Basil Smotherman earned the praise
of The Paint Crew after the best performance of his career.
Smotherman had a career-high 13 points and six rebounds.
