An Eye for Amusement
Images of the Eastern Idaho State Fair
If you think the fair produces sensory overload for the average attendee, just imagine what it does to a poor photogra- pher. The entire property serves as a kind of proverbial circus ringmaster, calling his audience’s attention to all the dazzling attractions under the big top. At the fair, of course, the big top is every-
where. We could send out an army of offi- cial shutterbugs and still come up short on comprehensive coverage. For yours truly, not seeing it all is a near certainty. Last year, the EISF and Harris Publishing, Inc., sent me out to the fairgrounds daily. It’s a dream assignment, to be sure, but it is also more than a bit daunting. If you pack a camera into the fair this
