His 24 three-pointers through mid-December already had him in eighth on the all-time list for made three pointers by a freshman. Bryson Scott has been effective in the early part of his freshman season. He scored in double figures in seven of Purdue's first 10 games and proved to be a reliable free throw shooter, an area in which the Boilermakers have struggled. Coach Matt Painter appears to be making a point with the official during the Crossroads Classic as he eyes the scoreboard. The ninthyear coach drew his first technical foul of the season in a loss to Bulldogs. 60 IllustrateD volume 24, issue 3 Much to the chagrin of Painter, the Boilermakers didn't have enough of these kind of plays by A.J. Hammons through the first 10 games, as his team was inconsistent getting the ball inside to the sophomore center. f
