The Boilermakers donned black helmets
for the first time since 1990 for the Ohio
State game in early November. Senior
defensive end Greg Latta took it one step
further by covering his face with eye black
during the contest.
For Military Appreciation Day
against Iowa, the pride of carrying
the American Flag onto the RossAde Stadium surface is evident
on the face of walk-on defensive
linemen Chuck Ayres. The
Boilermakers wore special helmet
decals for the event, too.
