Boilermakers Seal Bid In Chicago
But bad second half vs. Wisconsin ends tourney
Rapheal Davis crashed through a media
table during the rally against Penn
State Friday, knocking Indianapolis Star
columnist Gregg Doyle out of his seat.
Shortly after, Doyle tweeted that Davis
"hits like a truck." The play helped the
Boilermakers come back after trailing
by as many as 11 with about five min-
utes to go in the first half.
After Wisconsin's
win over Purdue
Saturday,
Badger coach
Bo Ryan took a
moment with
center A.J.
Hammons. The
Badgers largely
held Hammons
in check, as he
finished with 10
points, a Purdue
game high, on
only 4-of-11
shooting.
Vince Edwards scores two of his seven
points against the Nittany Lions, part
of an efficient day for the freshman
forward. He also had four rebounds,
three assists and two blocks in his
Big Ten Tournament debut, helping
Purdue pick up its 10th victory all-time
in the conference event.

The loss left Jon Octeus and the Boilermakers to contemplate their
immediate future, but the win the day before is likely what sealed
their berth as a participant in the NCAA Tournament's Field of 68.
