M I C H I G A N S T A T E P H O T O G A L L E R Y During the Boilermakers' third-quarter rally, Anthrop tried to execute an option pass. While the junior receiver didn't complete it, the play was effective as the Spartans were called for pass interference. Moments later, the Boilermakers scored to make it 38-31. Akeem Hunt scored the second of his three touchdowns on a 52-yard run early in the fourth quarter. It was the seventh rush of Hunt's career cover- ing over 40 yards, which is the best by any Boilermaker dating back to 2002. Jaycen Taylor and Kory Sheets come in a distant second, with four rushes of more than 40 yards in their careers. He was also the first Boilermaker since Rob Henry in 2011 (Minnesota) to have three rushing touchdowns in a game. B.J. Knauf was a threat to the Spartans in the flat as he hauled in a career-best seven catches and scored a touchdown. It was his second career touchdown reception, the first com- ing against Notre Dame in 2013. The Boilermakers' fourth-quarter rally began on Frankie Williams' seventh career interception and subsequent 24-yard return. Four plays later, the Boilermakers had cut the margin to 38-24 on Hunt's 52-yard scoring run.
