While SXSW Interactive content showcases innovation, inspiration and creativity, our programming comes in many different shapes and sizes. For 2015, we have organized our sessions primarily by theme, but in some instances by format, to help you find the content that interests you most. One of the strengths of our conference is the diversity of our programming. To this end, we've grouped our sessions, and this book, by 15 topical themes and six different formats, whose method of sharing ideas and information are especially unique. Below you'll find an easy breakdown and description of each. Themes (Sessions within these themes will vary in format.) Art, Science & Inspiration Drawing, Space Discovery, 3D Printing, DIY Branding & Marketing Branding, Marketing, Native Advertising Content & Distribution Content Strategy, Journalism, Monetization Design & Development App and Software Development, UX, Web Design Entertainment & Immersion Immersive Experiences, Future of TV Fashion & Wearable Tech Smart Clothing, Future of Retail, Wearable Tech Food & Experiential Dining Future Dining, Agtech, Food Systems, Community Gaming Educational Gaming, Gaming Culture, Gamification Global Impact & Policy Nonprofit, Blacks in Tech, Latinos in Tech Health & MedTech Medical Systems, Self-Hacking, Self-Monitoring Intelligent Future IoT, Autonomous Vehicles, Nanotech, WTF Social & Privacy Social Networks, Surveillance, Encryption Sports Fan Engagement, Sports Analytics, Sports Media Startup Village & Business B2B, Strategy, Startups, Funding, Growth Markets Work & Career Career Dev, Co-Working, Work-Life Balance Formats (Sessions within these formats will vary in theme. *Programming is listed by format, as opposed to theme) *Book Readings Twenty-minute sessions featuring one or two authors presenting their recently, or soon to be released publication. Located in Ballroom G. *Book Signings Located at the SX Bookstore, many of the authors participating in the Book Reading program will be signing copies of their work after their session. Core Conversations Hour-long group discussions that encourage attendee participation in the dialogue. Led by one or two moderators. Duals Hour-long conversations between two speakers, or a one-on-one interview. *Featured Sessions A series of hour-long presentations. This distinguished series combines both accomplished and newly established thought leaders. *Future15s Series of 12-minute solo presentations. Designed to present information in a quickly digestible way, Future15s are grouped into same themed hour-long blocks. Keynotes Keynotes are hour-long talks from some of the world's most inspired thinkers. These take the form of solo, dual or interview format. Keynotes sessions are 2:00–3:00pm daily. *Meet Ups SXSW Meet Ups are hour-long networking mixers dedicated to a particular area of interest or skill- set, and are led by an expert in the field. *Mentor Sessions Mentor Sessions are seven-minute, one-on-one career related counsel with an established industry professional. Advance sign up through our online or GO App® is required. Sign up will be open until start of session, if space is available. Panels Panel sessions are hour-long discussions with up to four speakers, sometimes led by a moderator. *Partner Programming Partner Programming is curated by companies or organizations at the forefront of innovation, within their respective industries. Pitch Events These events are opportunites for new technology companies to pitch their ideas to a live audience, as well as a panel of expert judges, and vary in duration. Solos Solos are hour-long presentations with one speaker. *Workshops In-depth, hands-on courses that cover a variety of topics. Taught by creative leaders in their industry, these vary from 2.5 to 8 hours. Advance sign up through our online schdule or GO App is required.
