Shuttles TMS offers a door-to-door shuttle service between most hotels outside of the walkable downtown area and the Austin Convention Center from Thursday, March 12 through Sat- urday, March 21, 2015. See page 236 for times, routes and schedules. The SXSW Festival Shuttle is the free circu- lating shuttle that runs between the Austin Convention Center and most Interactive Fes- tival Venues. Shuttles leave the Convention Center every 15 minutes. Two routes make the system easy to navigate and are an efficient and free way to get around downtown Austin. See page 238 for routes and times. Q: How do I get in touch with other attendees? A: Your SXsocial account is a good place to start. See social.sxsw.com. Meet Ups are also a great, informal way to meet others with like-minded interests. See page 171 for Meet Up info. Q: How do I get more info about SXSW Interactive? A: Stay on track with what's in store for the next day with our nightly Interactive Festival updates sent to your email. Also make sure to check sxsw.com and #SXSWtips on Twitter. Q: I feel overwhelmed by the event, do you have tips on how to get the most out of SXSW? A: Attend a Home Room Session at 9:30am. They are a great way to learn more about the event and are a way to network with other SXSW attendees in a relaxed, low-key way. Q: Do you have bike rentals? A: Yes! Stop by the SXcycles station (604 Driskill Street) for a quick break between events to obtain a complimentary Austin Bcycle day pass. Q: Are there any free events that my friends can attend if they don't have a badge? A: Yes! There are several that they can attend. SXSW Gaming Expo and Gaming Awards (see page 38), along with game-related programming (see page 143). Additionally, the maker and hacker faire, SX Create, is free and open-to-the-public (see page 33). Q: Do I have to RSVP for sessions? A: No. Sessions are first-come, first-served with the exceptions of Mentors (see page 175) and Workshops (see page 218). You can reserve a spot for either of these types of programming through schedule.sxsw.com and the SXSW GO® app. Sign-up is open until the start of all Workshop sessions if space is still available. Q: Am I guaranteed admission to all sessions and evening events? A: No. While an Interactive, Gold or Platinum badge is required for admission, entry is filled on a first-come, first-served basis and pending venue capacity. Q: Does my Day Pass get me into evening events? A: Day Passes are valid for the issuance day only and are not valid for evening events. Q: Will sessions be streamed or available for viewing after the conference? A: Daily Keynote sessions and Closing Remarks will be streamed live to sxsw.com/live during the event and simulcasted at many of our venues. These sessions will be available for viewing for a period of time after the event. Q: Can I let my friend or colleague use my badge? A: No. Your badge allows you, and only you, to attend SXSW Interactive programming. Anyone else wearing your badge will be turned away and Registration will then be notified to make sure the badge hasn't been reported lost or stolen. Q: Am I allowed to record sessions at SXSW? A: Unless you have received prior approval, only attendees with press credentials will be allowed to record for a portion of sessions. Q: FAQs are great, but I need a real-time answer from a real-life person. A: You have two options. Either head over to Registration in Exhibit Hall 1 where someone can help you or stop at one of the many Info booths located in the Austin Convention Center. Q: Help! I lost my computer, tablet, or phone at a SXSW Interactive venue. What do I do? A: Check with one of the Info booths located in the Austin Convention Center. After the festival, please call (512) 467-7979. Q: How do I give feedback to SXSW Interactive? A: Email us at inter@sxsw.com. We read every single email! Also see sxsw.com/rate for more information on rating sessions. We Want Your Feedback! Love a session? Rating sessions is easier than ever.
