What we can see is that more and more people are beginning to give a shit about politics, as protest numbers rise against a wider range of issues. This wave of protest is healthy for the democracy and helps hold govern- ments accountable to the mistreatment of democracy so get out there and support the increasing number people on the frontline for change. BUSSEY BUILDING VICTORY In an amazing display of communi- ty support, Bussey Building have won the fight against being priced out of the area, after a successful campaign from locals, workers and music-lovers caused the planning application to build luxury flats at the location get withdrawn. The petition led to over 14,000 people venting their anger at plans to turn one of South London's bus- iest creative venues into a vomit-in- ducing hotbed of bellends. The flats would have killed off Peck- ham's flourishing music and arts hub as well as ruining the view of London's skyline from Frank's Bar. In response to the huge backlash, the statement from the developers read "…following careful consider- ation, we have today instructed Southwark Council that we wish to withdraw the current planning ap- plication.". A resounding middle finger to those damaging London's nightlife.
