Dense & Pika - Colt George FitzGerald continues Hotflush's remix series with his version of 'Colt' The burgeoning DABJ signee and recent Numbers debutant has gone from strength to strength recently, honing his raw talent in belting production (especially with the anthemic 'It's Only Real' out now on Numbers) into more polished mixes in his now legendary Boiler Room and superb Fabric Promo efforts. The man is set for big things in 2016 if he keeps up his irresistible form. The latest Glaswegian producer in line to set the world alight Daniela Caldellas and Daniel Albinati return with another epic EP ones to WatCh Denis sulta l Moffa albuM of the Month Digitaria - starburst PoeM eP With a string of successful releases already in their discography, Digitaria are no amateurs when it comes to creating memorable and unique dance floor hits. After putting out albums on both Hot Creations and International DJ Gigolos, the duo make their debut on Items & Things with this expertly crafted and undeniably authentic EP. Jumping off is the title track 'Starbust Poem' - a hypnotising blend of spooky triplets laid over a rugged kick drum. As the wobbly lead constantly twists and turns, short sonic blasts create the perfect contrast between organic euphoria and technological precision. As with the title track, 'Again and Again' follows suit with a master combination of the natural and synthetic as the duo entwines a rich looping piano with a haunting female vocal, which recites the track title, resulting in an emotionally enchanting ride. Wrapping up the EP is 'Over and Over', and again the duo create a uniquely magical odyssey by having opposing forces meet head-on. While rigid percussion constructs the foundation, wild arpeggios come to life establishing a strange, yet engaging campaign that fits superbly to any time and place. 32 Issue 82 / 2015 HOUSE/ tEcHnO guestlist.net 7Direction(S) Luciano feat. George FitzGerald is the Berlin based Brit who made a big impact with his bass heavy tunes on labels like Aus and Hotflush before getting snapped up by a Domino offshoot Double Six for his acclaimed debut album earlier this year. He returns to Hotflush in grand style with a remix of the now-classic cut 'Colt'. Uplifting and replete with the inimitable tropes on which he has made his name - emotion and groove in equal measure - FitzGerald revitalises the original's unforgettably forlorn piano hook.
