Who's been on and who's been off this month. Let us know what you think tweet us @guestlistdotnet MARK ZUCKERBERG Mark Zuckerberg has donated 99% of his Facebook shares to a trust in his newly born child's name. Which is big. Respect. MATHIEU FLAMINI The footballer normally renowned for his energy on pitch is getting stuck in off it. He's part of a world leading company creating eco- friendly bio-oils. Zut alors. JEREMY CORBYN He was elected was because of his principles and ideas. Reassuring to know he's stuck with them in continuing his Anti-War stance and not U-Turned like some other politicians. JEREMY HUNT NHS CRISIS IMPOUNDING! NHS CRISIS IMPOUNDING! NHS CRISIS IMPOUNDING! And this guy is Health Secretary. Fuck. DONALD TRUMP In case you hadn't heard, the guy is inciting racism, mocking disabled people and has asked for muslims to be banned from the US. The definition of Off Key. ON POINT ON POINT ON POINT You may be aware of some important climate talks that have been going on recently. Countries came to the talks saying they would make some volun- tary changes themselves, but it's very clear we are not doing enough. Add up the voluntary submissions from the countries involved and we are set to fly through the feared 2 de- gree 'set limit' and get to more like 3-5 degrees warmer soon Even a 2 degree rise means reduc- tions in staple foods, more droughts, typhoons and flooding. Dec 1st saw the wettest day for over 100 years. There are floods in India which have caused chaos and we have extreme weather events right here in Cumbria with 5000 homes and business hit by floods. We knew it was bad but it turns out it is much worse. This December, Beijing issues its first ever red alert because of the pollu- tion in the air. We are doing things but not moving far enough. For now the wealthy can fly less, consumer less, waste less. We allneed to care more about those in poorest parts of the world. UNINHABITABLE? The tropical and subtropical zones are likely to become uninhabitable at 5 or 6 degrees of warming, according to Lynas' exhaustive review of the broad spectrum of climate research. The tropical zone is here highlighted in red. The subtropical zone is highlighted in yellow. 50% of emissions come from 10% of the world estimated trillion worth fuels ground Livestock is responsible for 65% of all human- related emissions of nitrous oxide WE CAN ALL TRIGGER CHANGE Fossil fuel reserves that can- not be burned in order to pre- vent a dangerous tempera- ture rise of more than 2 degrees celsius ON POINT / OFF KEY A quarter of the Earth's species could be headed for extinction by 2050 due to climate change 7 5 Issue 82 / 2015 GUESTLIST guestlist.net
