makers to win six, though I readily admit I am not sure how this gets done. But I sense things are changing in the world of Purdue football. In today's universe, fans don't want to be patient. And I am impressed that Hazell understands that and talks about winning sooner rather than later. If you look closely at the image here, you see the Rose Bowl is not just in Hazell's stream of consciousness, it's in the picture. It's always in the picture. In my six months of being around him, it is clear that Hazell always begins with the end in mind. His goal is to get Purdue back to Pasadena right away. It may not seem possible to us observers this year, but Hazell simply won't let his goal be too far from center stage. That is why it is front and center on the cover of the real "A Player's Manual" you will see on the next page. Our cover is our artistic representation of the "Manual" and was the final version after numerous other ideas, including using some form of the image above. We had to adapt to better communicate the theme. Hazell, too, is all about a clear message. He wants you as part of his team both inside Ross-Ade Stadium and out. He needs you as part of his team, too. And if things gel in 2013 to the level where coaches, fans and players are all on the same page with energy focused in a positive direction, the season has to be deemed a success.
