Iowa Dominates Late For Easy Win
Boilermakers more competitive, but not for long enough

The Iowa bench had a difference of opinion,
but when the dust settled, the Boilermakers
had possession at the Iowa 35. Six plays later,
Purdue had its first touchdown in three games,
scored by Freytag.

Raymond Miller, a 93-year old World War
II veteran, was one of the many members
of the military on hand as Purdue football
paid tribute to American servicemen and
women. Miller had flown 22 successful
missions over Germany but was shot
down in this 23rd.

It was the freshman quarterback's second scoring pass in league play.
Sophomore receiver Danny Anthrop had his
most productive day as a Boilermaker receiver
with four catches for 82 yards. Here, he gets
popped hard after a reception. His 44-yard
touchdown catch was the second of his Purdue
career.
