The full-length trailer for this superhero film is finally with us and it does not disappoint
Deadpool has been a long time in
development, only getting the green
light thanks to insane fan reaction
to Ryan Reynolds' test footage. The
character is the spectacularly violent,
foul-mouthed, dirty minded alter-
ego of Wade Wilson, who acquired
special powers after being subjected
to experimentation in the search for a
cancer cure, is the definition of anti-hero
and therefore is not an easy sell.
But judging by the trailer, 20th Century
Fox could be onto a real winner, despite,
or in fact because of, the R-rated
material. Our first glimpse of the film is
not short on the blood and action, as well
as some zinging one-liners.
In an exchange with Wilson about his
scarred appearance, Weasel hits him
with "you look like Freddy Kruger face-
fucked a topographical map of Utah"
and "you are haunting. You look like an
avocado had sex with an older avocado."
If the script contains more of this, we'll
be very happy indeed.
Deadpool is released in the UK on
February 5th 2016 and we are definitely
looking forward to it.
