The latest teaser trailer has got all Star Wars fans very excited
It has been almost three years since
the first announcement that the Star
Wars franchise would be revived. Star
Trek's J.J Abrams took charge, new
protagonists were cast and Harrison
Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill
confirmed their return.
There has been a whole lot of delerium
and anticipation amongst die-hard fans
of the saga following teaser trailers
and on-set sneak peeks, and the latest
snippet is no different. Posted on
Instagram, the clip is only 15 seconds
long but has got everyone talking -
firstly, it contains the line "There has
been an awakening...have you felt
it?", a classic if we ever heard one,
and secondly, it shows John Boyega's
character Finn wielding a lightsaber.
What does it mean!?
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force
Awakens is set 30 years after the Battle
of Endor and the events portrayed in
Return of the Jedi. As well as Luke, Leia
and Han, the film features a whole host
of new characters, including Finn, Rey
and ruthless villain Kylo Ren complete
with three-pronged lightsaber.
Star Wars: Episode VII is released on
December 17th. The countdown is on.
