20 FESTIVALS guestlist.net Issue 79 / 2015 roBoT FesTival reTurns For iTs eighTh ediTion The latest instalment of the Bolgona-based festival takes place 7th – 10th October roBOT Festival, set in one of Italy's oldest cities, is all about the mixture of music, art and culture, "a constant acceleration". The festival is split across two locations in Bologna – the Bologna Fiere and the historic Palazzo Re Enzo – offering progressive electronica in stunning, intimate surroundings. As well as various screenings and workshops, festivalgoers will see some of the finest techno, house and experimental acts in the world work their magic. Already confirmed artists include the likes of Ben UFO, Squarepusher, Tiga, Daphni, floating Points, Siriusmodeselektor, Jackmaster, Levon Vincent, John Talabot, Nina Kraviz, The Martinez Brothers, Trentemoller, Apparat, Evian Christ, The Bug and Helena Hauff to name but a few. roBOT Festival is one dynamic and interesting fests out there and the stage is set for their eighth year to be the biggest and best yet. For its fourth year, the festival has expanded to two days Mint Festival is back in Leeds, taking over Wetherby Racecourse on September 19th and 20th. Covering house, techno, EDM and drum and bass, the organisers have curated a mega line- up worthy of any weekend festival. On the Saturday, the Mint Presents arena will host big guns Sven Vath, Maya Jane Coles, The Martinez Brothers and George FitzGerald, and System & Set One Twenty welcome Luciano and Apollonia to the party. Duke Dumont brings his Blasé Boys Club experience to Mint with the likes of Tiga, Waze & Odyssey and Fono all appearing, and Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound stage will see sets from Route 94, Denney, Sante & Sidney Charles, Joris Voorn, and Green Velvet as well as the man himself. The pace doesn't let up on Sunday. Jamie Jones heads up a Paradise stage featuring Paco Osuna, Richy Ahmed and wAFF amongst others, and The Martinez Brothers return for a b2b set with Seth Troxler on Troxler's own stage. Other highlights include Ricardo Villalobos b2b Zip on the System presents Fuse stage, and sets from Skream and Eats Everything at the carnival-in-a-tent Elrow arena. As well as those goodies, Mint have gone big on the camping too, turning it into an experience in itself – camping will run from Friday to Monday, with upgraded facilities, silent discos and special acoustic sessions all on offer.
