THOUSANDS MARCH ON LONDON TO DEMAND CAMERON RESIGNS Brazilian Inmates Get to Broad- en Their Minds and Reduce Their Sentence Sweden is running for friendshhip Hurray! Tampon Tax Could Be Getting Cut! Prisons in Brazil are allowing inmates to reduce their sentences for every piece of literature they read and write a report on, allowing them to shave 48 days off their sentence per year. The programme dubbed, "Redemption through Reading" has been a success so far. A lawyer for Sao Paulo stated, "A person can leave prison more en- lightened and with an enlarged vision of the world. Some great news for women everywhere, the EU leaders have made a deal that will allow the UK to get rid of the 'tampon tax'. They have put forward two options that would permit a zero rate of tax on all sanitary products. Chancellor George Osbourne stated, "the government has heard people's anger over paying tampon tax loud and clear". The cur- rent VAT charged for sanitary products is a reduced rate of 5% but over 300,000 people have signed a petition calling for all sanitary items to be exempted from tax as a whole. Fight the power ladies! Sweden is setting the bar high as the locals of Oster- sund have gathered to help asylum seekers integrate into the community by starting a running club "Hel- lo Stranger!" where people can make new friends. So far, Hello Stranger!" has brought together the townspeople and 500 refugees. Others followed by volunteering at ski resorts, teaching more than 300 refugees how to ski and assimilate into community life. Go Sweden! JEREMY CORBYN TO SPEAK AT GLASTONBURY Protesters marched on London demanding Cameron resign after the recent Panama Papers leak forced Cameron to release details of his financial affairs. Cameron had allegedly benifited from an offshore fund set up by his late father to avoid tax. Jeremy Corbyn has been nominated to speak at the festival after accepting the offer from political singer-songwriter Billy Bragg. He will be speaking on behalf of Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. This came as a huge surprise but a spokesman for Corbyn stated that Mr Corbyn is a huge fan of the festival. Michael Eavis, Glastonbury's founder, is happy about Jeremy Corbyn being involved with the festival. Eavis himself spoke for CND in the 80s during Thatcher's power after she destroyed thousands of miner's lives. Jeremy will be speaking in the Left Side tent. Big up man like Jezza! The Good The protesters seen in a video seemed to be having a good time, and why not when they are the ones making the effort? The Bad (Bad meaning good) In Iceland, protests take a more serious tone and the PM has actually BEEN ousted. The people don't do things by halves and are now calling for the entire government to resign. The Ugly No one is as hardcore as the French, protesting labour reforms, they have clashed recently with police who have used tear gas. Well done to anyone who gets up in the morning to make their voice heard in any way they can. Respect London protesters. GOOD STUFF 4 ISSUE 86 / 2016 NEWS CHECK OUT THE VIDEO LONDON NEWS
