There are so many precious people who continue to recognize Bryant in many ways from still selecting #35 for game jerseys, to visiting his gravesite and by attending the BK5K each year in Memphis. To all my faithful friends from Louisiana and Tennessee who stood by me on that miserable July day, and who still stand with me in support and friendship. • To Pam and Tracie who each gives so much of yourselves and would drop anything if I called -- my heart is full of love for you both. • Megan, my loving friend of 33 years who will also cel- ebrate her birthday on the anniversary of Bryant's buri- al, I don't know what I would have done without you. • To Angela, who God placed directly in my path only four months after that tragic day, I am blessed and thankful for every day we have had together in laughter and tears. Thank you for all the encouragement in writing my book. • To my parents, Larry & Glenna Rowland, my sister Car- la and my nephew Holden, thank you for allowing me to cry and lean on your shoulder even when you wanted to cry yourself. • Thank you to my brother Larry, who always believed in my red bird, and for making one for me to carry every day. My family is the glue to healing. • Deep gratitude goes to Cory and Brad who organize the BK5K, the committee of volunteers, and to the Board of Directors that help make the Bryant Kite scholarship possible. All of your sacrifices to keep the event and scholarship going are so greatly appreciated. • Heartfelt thanks to the Kite Family and Rickard Family, who love me and who stood with me.
