After a year without it, Purdue got the Cannon back on Saturday with its 38-27 victory at Illinois. The
Boilermakers surged toward midfield as the clock expired to celebrate with the trophy. That celebration
moved into the locker room where players sang the fight song and honored second-year coach Darrell
Hazell with a game ball before getting on the happy bus home.
