GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 7 • 35 for the first time Friday. As of Wednesday night, he'd not even met those teammates. "I feel like my personality can get along with anybody else's per- sonality," Octeus said. "I don't think there will be any problems in terms of the adjustment, learning how the team is run, how the offenses and defenses work. I feel like I can get all that stuff down by the time the season comes around. "My main focus is just to do what it takes to help the team win. I'm not a guy who has an agenda. I just want to win. Whatever it takes to help Purdue win, that's what I want to do." Purdue had long sought trans - fer help for its thin backcourt, as well as any experience it could add to a roster dominated by freshmen. Octeus joins former walk-on Neal Beshears as Purdue's only two seniors. He will factor into Purdue's wide-open point guard position, but could play elsewhere as well. "I'm a point guard, but I can play the 2-guard and I think I can guard the 1-2-3," Octeus said. "I'm a basket - ball player more than anything." RUNNING BACK VISITING Purdue will host its second of- ficial visitor of the fall this weekend, when highly recruited Nashville running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn travels to West Lafayette for the Michigan State game. This will be the first of the Ri- vals.com three-star prospect's of- ficial visits. "They've been asking me to come up there to visit and of all the schools up at the top of my list, they're one I haven't visited yet," Vaughn said. "So I wanted to make sure I got up there for a visit." The competition is stiff for Vaughn, who said he expects to take multiple official visits. Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wiscon- sin, Kentucky and Louisville are the other programs heavily pursuing the 5-10, 200-pound running back. They've all offered. Quarterback commitment Elijah Sindelar is also expected to make his second unofficial visit back to Purdue this season, as will dozens of underclassmen, includ- ing Fort Wayne wide receiver Ben Skowronek and Ohio D-end Tyler Houston, among many others. HOOPS NOTEBOOK S Purdue is expected to host an official visit the weekend of Oct. 25 from 7-foot-5 center prospect Tacko Fall. Fall holds offers from George- town, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Central Florida, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest, among others, in ad- dition to Purdue. Vandy and Wake, though, have taken commitments from other centers and thus are not expected to be factors in his recruitment any longer. S Purdue 2016 point guard target C.J. Walker is expected to make an unofficial visit for practice on Friday. Walker, who was offered in September, has been lined up for visits the past two weekends, but has had to reschedule each time. S The Boilermakers offered a scholarship Wednesday to Ohio Class of 2016 small forward Seth Towns. The Columbus Northland star also holds offered from Iowa, Xavier, Virginia Tech and others. He's the third Ohio junior to be targeted by the Boilermakers in his class, joining fellow Columbus for - ward Nick Ward and Wilmington guard Jarron Cumberland.
