JOHNPURDUECLUB.COM MACKEY ARENA MEN'S BASKETBALL RESEATING The 2016-17 Purdue men's basketball season will mark the fifth year since reseating and rededicating Mackey Arena in 2011. As promised, Purdue Athletics will reseat the arena for men's basketball (excluding premium seating). We will not be reseating for women's basketball. Ballena Technologies once again will be the software used for John Purdue Club members to go online during their timeslot to select their seats. It will be a very similar look and feel to the previous reseating. Based on fan feedback, we have made a couple proposed changes for the upcoming reseat. First, we have made a few adjustments to the legacy fund in different sections of the arena, including increasing the number of seats without a legacy fund and increasing the legacy fund in several high-demand sections. Eighty- eight percent of the seats in Mackey will have the same or decreased season ticket price for the 2016-17 season. We also have reduced the number of tickets each member is allowed to purchase in the lower arena and first six rows of the upper arena. These new limits will allow more members the opportunity to improve their seating. The new limits are shown in the chart. Those who have traditionally held more tickets than the limit will be grandfathered with the average number of season tickets they have purchased for the past five years. Athletics Director Morgan Burke will host an open fan forum to collect feedback and answer questions at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, in Holloway Gymnasium before the men's basketball game vs. Nebraska at 4:30 p.m. Thank you to those who shared feedback after the last reseating. If you have additional feedback or questions, please do not hesitate to share it with us by calling 765.494.3248 or emailing us at JPC@purdue.edu.
