VOLUME 27, ISSUE 2 63 JOHNPURDUECLUB.COM WHAT DOES 'ALL IN' MEAN? After Mike Bobinski's first press conference, Boilermakers held tight to one remark more than any other: "Being successful at this level requires an all-in commitment." The phrase is now atop message boards and newsfeeds, but what did Purdue's new athletics director mean by it? For starters, all in is a choice to fully invest oneself into bettering Purdue Athletics. It's a decision made by student- athletes, coaches, fans and the university and one which can take many different forms. An all-in athlete decides to train harder, conditioning his or her body to consistently perform at a championship level. Coaches opt to become better mentors, better strategists, better recruiters and leaders. An all-in fan chooses to back the Old Gold and Black, not only when the W flag is flying high, but also when the team is working to raise it again. All in begins with a decision. All in also is an attitude, signifying that no matter how the program sways, Purdue Athletics is moving forward. Whether it be along the left hash marks or the right, all in recognizes all progress. This unwavering attitude will become a testament to the passion, strength and commitment of the Purdue community. Most importantly though, all in is Bobinski's call to all Boilermakers to join together in one focused effort - collectively making the decision, emitting the attitude and taking the action of supporting Purdue Athletics. The John Purdue Club has accepted the call and is committed to being all in, all year. We recognize this movement isn't about one team or one season, it's about advancing the entire department, which operates 365 days a year. We challenge our members and the community to join us in this charge, embrace the full meaning of these four words and transform them into tangible acts of support that span from January to December. Answer the call to be all in, all year. T H E T E A M B E H I N D T H E T E A M S
