NEWS: A LEGEND RETURNS... RMS & Dcision bring the heat with the first part of Live the Life. Grooverider's infamous imprint, Prototype is set to return. The news was announced yesterday from Grooverider's twitter. He posted out the label's logo and the words; "We're back". Big news for d&b fans, without Prototype in the early days we may not have some of the scene's staple names. It's back catalogue has the foundation tracks from guys like Dillinja, Ed Rush & Matrix - you know, the big guns. That's how Prototype rolls - to have them back in the game will be heavy. Already Prototype is feeling the love with Futurebound, Bassline Smith, and Horizon Music already praising the imprints return, and Ulterior Motive already firing over demos. Two juggernauts of Canadian jungle collide for the opening EP of Live the Life on Audio Addict. From the opening track's, 'Feel the Melody', has the wonkiest bassline, so you can get the general vibe for the release. Heavyweight jungle tunes with bold basslines and fast breaks. The Canadian's go for it and have a final result that sounds like a mad Friday rave in an East London warehouse. The standout track though has to be 'Back to Reality'. A solo production from RMS, he litters the beefy roller with hip hop samples for a tune that'll tear raves apart. A slick drum pattern with a solid bassline is the tried and tested formula which it follows, and it executes it perfectly. If you like your jungle raw and crazy, Live the Life will not leave you disappointed. TRACK OF THE MONTH: RMS & DCISION - LIVE THE LIFE ARTIST OF THE MONTH: AGRESSOR BUNX Agressor Bunx prep for their debut LP with a killer sampler. The Ukraine duo had a solid 2016, seeing releases on Eatbrain, Blackout & Bad Taste and a heavy touring schedule. Though it seems they were only getting started as they are gearing up for the release of their first album, Properties of Addition. Coming on Eatbrain later this year, it'll give the guys a chance to build on their sturdy reputation and really show us what they have got. 40 ISSUE 98 / 2017 DRUM & BASS PLAYLIST Here's the drum and bass on our playlist this month: Silly VIP DJ Marky Tentacles (Ivy Lab Remix) Noisia Dread At The Controls Demented Frequency Skit City (feat.
