T
en years of celebrating our leg-
ends. Ten years of providing
scholarships for students. Ten years of
fund-raising for charities. That's what
the National Football Foundation's Joe
Tiller Chapter of Northwest Indiana
will commemorate in 2014 as it stages
events this spring, summer and beyond.
And the entire Purdue fan base is en-
couraged to join.
Activities begin Friday, May 9, as the
chapter hooks up with Purdue's Trade-
marks Licensing Office to host two events in
West Lafayette, a special breakfast at Ross-Ade
Stadium and a golf scramble at the Birck Boiler-
maker Golf Complex, both featuring former Pur-
due All-American Ryan Kerrigan, now a defensive
standout with the NFL's Washington Redskins.
Following that is the chapter's premier event,
the NFF Honors Dinner "Celebrating Our Leg-
ends X" on Wednesday, June 25, at the Purdue
Memorial Union Ballrooms in West Lafayette.
BREAKFAST
Kerrigan will be at Purdue that entire Friday,
beginning with the "Community Makers Break-
fast: Fore A Cause" at 8 a.m. at the Kissell Room of
Ross-Ade Stadium, where Kerrigan will be part of
a program emphasizing scholarship and achieve-
ment among students. Rob Hughes, sports direc-
tor at WLFI, will serve as emcee for the program.
The breakfast will be catered by The Outpost
and is open to the public ($20 per person) but ad-
vanced reservations are required. Visit Eventbrite.
