He always has eyes to see, ears to hear, primed and aware for the just- right mantra for his program. Last season's theme "One Brick Higher" tied into the history of Purdue. During 6 a.m. workouts this winter, he had "Forward" emblazoned across the back of the team's T-shirts, signifying an end to the 1-11 campaign of 2013 and to keep pressing ahead. Then, over Purdue's 15 spring practices, he implored the Boilermakers to "live it, learn it and love it." After a season of struggle that included not enough players being passionate about the game, not enough buying into the Live, Learn, Love Embracing game spurs improvement Tom Campbell Danny Etling showed better leadership and command of the huddle this spring, a crucial area consider- ing he'll likely be the starting quarterback in the fall. Though Coach Darrell Hazell will wait to name him as such. 2014 Schedule Date Opponent Location Aug. 30 Western Michigan West Lafayette Sept. 6 Central Michigan West Lafayette Sept. 13 Notre Dame Indianapolis Sept. 20 Southern Illinois West Lafayette Sept. 27 Iowa West Lafayette Oct. 4 Illinois Champaign Oct. 11 Michigan State West Lafayette Oct. 18 Minnesota Minneapolis Nov. 1 Nebraska Lincoln Nov. 8 Wisconsin West Lafayette Nov. 22 Northwestern West Lafayette Nov. 29 Indiana Bloomington
