arrell Hazell likes slogans.
He always has eyes to see, ears
to hear, primed and aware for the just-
right mantra for his program.
Last season's theme "One Brick
Higher" tied into the history of Purdue.
During 6 a.m. workouts this winter,
he had "Forward" emblazoned across
the back of the team's T-shirts, signifying an end to the 1-11
campaign of 2013 and to keep pressing ahead.
Then, over Purdue's 15 spring practices, he implored the
Boilermakers to "live it, learn it and love it."
After a season of struggle that included not enough players
being passionate about the game, not enough buying into the
