They have good reason to, having ex- tended their losing streak to 10 consecutive games before the start of the Big Ten Tour- nament on Wednesday. The skid is Purdue's longest since the 1983-84 season, when it lost 12 straight to end the season and fin- ished 5-23, including 1-17 in the Big Ten. Purdue is 10-19, 3-15 this season, tied for last place in the confer- ence. It'll be the 14th seed in the t o u r n a m e n t , thanks to its loss to Penn State in the only meet- ing this year. The B o i l e r m a k e r s play No. 11 seed Wisconsin at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. "I just pushed (the reset button) out there," Coach Sharon Versyp said follow- ing Purdue's 61-56 loss to Michigan State on senior day. "Do we like what we did this season? No. Can we control everything? No. Can we control other things? Yes. It's just hard for confidence when you can't get over the hump in close games. … If you win those close games, it just gives you amazing confidence. "(Now), anything can happen. Is it a hard task? Absolutely." It will be.
