GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 23 • 21 five days to become champs. That'll be a difficult task for a Purdue team that's won only two games in calendar year 2015, having lost 14 of its last 15. One of those losses was to Wisconsin, which beat Purdue 65-56 in Mackey Arena on Jan. 15, perhaps one of the most dis- appointing losses of the season. Then, the Boilermakers looked lethargic, with Versyp lamenting that it appeared they gave up at the end. If Purdue can get by Wis- consin in Round 1, it'll face sixth-seeded Minnesota at approximately 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The Boilermakers were 1-1 vs. the Golden Go- phers this season, losing at home before winning in Min- neapolis in double overtime. That is Purdue's only vic- tory since Jan. 4. But the Boilermakers are hoping to put that in the past, thinking they can make noise in the tourney. "Anything can happen now," said senior Whitney Bays, who played her final game in Mackey Saturday. "You go into the tourna- ment and trust and believe that we can win this thing." 2014-15 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE Date Opponent Time/Result Nov. 9 FINDLAY (exb.)
