The senior guard got on the court one last time for the end of Lawrence North's semi-state loss to Columbus North on Saturday. Cooper, who had torn her ACL in a re- gional win a week earlier, was fouled late, allowing her to score on a free throw in her final high school game. Columbus North won 69-60. "I appreciated those guys fouling her," Lawrence North coach Chris Giffin told the Indianapolis Star. "I had every inten- tion the entire night to get her in at some point regardless, win or lose. Normally there is obviously a situation at the end of the game where there are free throws and whatnot. Whether we were winning or losing, we were going to put her in to get her in the box score, because she's been Miss Everything for us for a long time." Cooper, a Purdue signee, averaged about 15 points per game this season for the Wildcats. She'll need surgery, then will be out likely upwards of six months, meaning she'll likely miss Purdue's overseas trip in August. Cooper has been considered a candidate to come in immediately for Purdue next season and play a signifi - cant role, if not earn a starting position.
