The New Year means that Big Ten season has arrived for many of
our winter sports, and it is time to renew your John Purdue Club
membership. Your support in 2014 allowed our student-athletes
to earn the following achievements:
• Defeat Indiana in the all-sports Governor's Cup competition
• Win eight individual Big Ten championships
• Earn NCAA postseason opportunities for 11 teams
• Attain spring Academic All-Big Ten honors for a record 79
Boilermaker student-athletes
• Honored 71 student-athletes with fall Academic All-Big Ten
honors
• Participate in more than 1,500 hours of community service
While we acknowledge that further progress needs to be
made by some of our sports, that advancement cannot take
place without the continued support of our John Purdue Club
members. Your financial commitment provides scholarships for
our 500+ student-athletes. These athletic scholarships provide
a life-changing experience that extends far beyond athletics,
empowering us to develop "Champions, Scholars and Citizens."
This year marks our second year with an April 30 renewal
deadline for all John Purdue Club members. We have received a
tremendous amount of positive feedback with the new simplified
renewal process. Members now can give whenever they want
prior to the April 30 deadline. We thank those members who
have already given their gift for the 2015-16 membership year,
many taking advantage of tax benefits with year-end gifts.
We are excited to announce a new, "easy-to-use" online-giving
website at JohnPurdueClub.com. Simply click "Donate" at the top
of our new site and make your gift. As always, you are welcome
to call the John Purdue Club office at 765.494.3248 to make a gift
by phone or use the renewal materials you have received to mail
in your annual donation.
If you have not already done so, feel free to make your gift any
time prior to April 30. For those waiting until the deadline, we
encourage you to take advantage of our second-annual "Purdue
Day of Giving" on April 29 and make your gift to support Purdue
Athletics online at PurdueDayOfGiving.com and help us earn
bonus matching dollars. Last year you helped us finish first in the
"total donors" competition!
Thanks to all John Purdue Club members for your tremendous
commitment! You are the most loyal of all Purdue fans. We
recognize the incredible support you provide and do not take for
granted your generosity.
