NEWS: 10 YEARS OF SYMMETRY RECORDINGS More fire from the Leicestershire producer And what better way to celebrate than a heavy compilation? Symmetry Recordings began as a place for the label head, Break, to release his own music. It's since grown and has taken on other artists including Need For Mirrors, Xtrah and Boston. In 10 years Symmetry can boast three explosive Break albums and countless EPs. The label relentlessly fires rough and ready rollers onto the scene and people can't get enough of them! Break and his Symmetry imprint has truly created a unique sound that has captured the attention of many leader figures in the scene. A decade of smashing the dance doesn't come easy, but it's no surprise Symmetry has done it. Celebrating this milestone, Break has compiled a wicked collection of records to drop. Consisting of top quality original cuts, names like SpectraSoul, Total Science and DLR have all got involved. They feature on the 12 tracked album that perfectly sums up the labels unmistakable sound. No surprises than that it's picked up huge support. Big up Symmetry, here's to the next 10! Brutal, rough and packed with a serious amen clash - this is a drum & bass tune packing a punch. With this one Toronto Is Broken has shows us exactly why he's been sending people nuts this past year with his latest badman tune, 'Deep Freeze'. Its burly bassline hits it just right and sits perfectly with the ruthless drums making this one a proper bruiser. Adding to the energy are the intense vocals from Cianna Blaze. Vocalist of The Prodigy's, she has a similar no bullshit, harsh tone as him - and fuck, she pulls it off. Certified banger TRACK OF THE MONTH: TORONTO IS BROKEN - DEEP FREEZE (FEAT. CIANNA BLAZE) ARTIST OF THE MONTH: TAXMAN Undoubtly one of his biggest tracks 'Too Bad', gets another re-working from the jump up giant. When you think of Playaz, Taxman is one of the first names that should spring to mind. The original ninja has been dropping fast paced breaks and rude boy bass for years. His productions are built for the floors and if you've been anywhere near one in last few years then you'll know the damage they cause. He's back with another top EP. Entitled Amended, it's a collection of remixes, reworks and VIPs of old material, all given a blast of new life. These are some edits you don't wanna miss. One of the tracks is the '05 Frontline classic 'Too Bad' which has been reworked to perfection. 40 ISSUE 92 / 2016 DRUM & BASS PLAYLIST Here's the drum and bass on our playlist this month: Third Gate Shades Red Mist Original Sin Boom In '93 (DJ L.A.B Remix) DJ Hybrid Augemented Karma & Forren
