Experimenting with their equipment, they make a dub album that questions the rules. Diving in, they've produced pure magic that's laden with funky grooves, smooth basslines and packed with vibes. Dub Spencer & Trance Hill will take you on a 13 tracks adventure of what their label, Echobeach, describe as 'a world of Space-Rock-Dub-Electro'. Made up of John Zorn & Phil Minton, it's their ninth album where they showcase their own unique brand of reggae dub music. Joining them for a couple of tracks is vocalist Bruno Amstad to add a little extra. Once again they prove that they aren't tied down by the 'rules' of the 70s, nor today's electronic dub - instead making a sound that's truly belongs to them. As each album has shown; they keep walking further and further down their own path. Dismantling the rule books and building their own. 52 ISSUE 92 / 2016 REGGAE PLAYLIST Signs Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad Cocaine Dub Bukkha Show Me Your Flags 6.0 Mr. Pearly Tralalalala Jah Marnyah Here's the reggae on our playlist this month:
