who can make plays.
"He's a savvy guy, you can kind
of see it in the way he plays," fel-
low starting safety Taylor Rich-
ards said. "He's not your regular,
conventional kind of player. He
just does some stuff that I know I
probably wouldn't do, but he can
get away with it on the field just
because he gets the job done. He
makes it work.
"He's just really quick on his
feet. He knows how to get away
from blockers really fast. But in-
stead of taking the contact and
then trying to move somebody
around, (he) dodges them real
quick and then makes a tackle."
Feichter's also been known to
get run over trying to make a tack-
le.
He simply sees it as doing his
job — getting players down in any
way he can, even if that means
holding on with everything he's
got after being trampled.
But others see it as more.
They see it as what Feichter is
at his core: The fierce, undeniable
tough guy.
"He has that never-back-down
mentality," Evan Feichter said.
"Just because a running back is
250, 260 (pounds), and he's about
70 pounds less, he won't back
down because he's scared. He'll
have that mindset that, 'I have to
go in there and hit him.'
"He's probably one of the tough-
est people I know."

Monopoly.
But the senior safety does like the
old-style train logo the Hasbro board
game uses on its railroad station
cards, and he'd like to see it as part of
a Purdue uniform, perhaps as a gray
design on a black helmet. It might
look great, he says, paired with a gray
jersey and gray pants.
You look good, you play good, right?

Purdue unveiled a new look against Ohio
State last season, breaking out its new
black helmets to go with its black jerseys
and black pants. For most players, like
Raheem Mostert, it's a favorite.
