ILLUSTRATED VOLUME 24, ISSUE 6 55 f who can make plays. "He's a savvy guy, you can kind of see it in the way he plays," fel- low starting safety Taylor Rich- ards said. "He's not your regular, conventional kind of player. He just does some stuff that I know I probably wouldn't do, but he can get away with it on the field just because he gets the job done. He makes it work. "He's just really quick on his feet. He knows how to get away from blockers really fast. But in- stead of taking the contact and then trying to move somebody around, (he) dodges them real quick and then makes a tackle." It might look great, he says, paired with a gray jersey and gray pants. You look good, you play good, right? Richards, like many other players of this generation, has an opinion about game-day looks. The topic is Tom Campbell Purdue unveiled a new look against Ohio State last season, breaking out its new black helmets to go with its black jerseys and black pants. For most players, like Raheem Mostert, it's a favorite.
