GUESTLIST 2016 / ISSUE 91 9 You don't need to be on an Akon flex and save Africa to do some good for the world. You can do little things every day that will add up in hugely important ways - and they can literally be anything. Always walk past a homeless person on the way to work? Stop and buy him a coffee today. See the same person at your local coffee shop often? Talk to them, ask them how they are and what their name is - you never know who you're talking to. Do you see a friend stressed because they have a bunch of errands to run? Take a load off their hand and take something on for them. Do you have a friend who's always there to listen when you're down? Send flowers to their house/work and show them you appreciate them. Offer to do your mum's food shopping, stay an extra hour at work to help lift a colleague's load. Smile to your barista and have a chat with the security guy at work. Pull silly faces at the toddler on the train to make them laugh and give your seat to someone else. The more love you spread, the more good you're doing and the more will come back to you! No one likes the guy with the face like a slapped arse. No one likes the girl with the resting bitch face either. You might not realise it but your mannerisms count for a hell of a lot of your energy. Be the friend that everyone knows can cheer someone without even trying. Be the friend that's always up for a good time, the one who always has a story that will put the whole squad in stitches. Be the friend who says what they want, when they want and always has their people's backs. The one that is happy to pay for another's lunch if they forgot their wallet and never, never ask a friend for that £3 you spent on their coffee the other day. Be the friend that always shows when they say they will and who follows through with plans. Be the friend who is always there to offer words of motivation and always, always be the friend who has a drink to offer house guests. The cross party group made up of MPs and peers want UK laws to change, reclassifying herbal cannabis from schedule one to schedule four. The reclassification would allow doctors to prescribe to drug to those who need it. The group took evidence from 623 people including patients and experts with more than 20,000 medical reports reviewed on top. They argue that there's clear evidence of the positive effects cannabis has on a range of conditions. The drug is legally allowed to be used for medical uses in 24 US states, Canada, Israel and 11 European countries. The Home Office though is not planning to legalise the drug that they claim is 'harmful'. I mean what do scientists know? MPs and peers want medical cannabis to be legally available. It might be the best bet in the area for healthy breakfast and lunch. You can build your meal up from one salad, gradually adding salads and optional protein boosts like chicken, marinated fish or fritters. Plus everything is half price between 3-4pm and students get 10% off. The light, airy interior is Scandi style at its finest. For parties go to guestlist.net
