Purdue paid tribute to its fans
by utilizing a "selfie" helmet
for the Iowa game. Fans
submitted photos during the
summer to be included inside
the motion "P" decal collage.
Members of the Ross-Ade Brigade student section helped breathe life into the Homecoming crowd of 36,603.
Despite the beautiful day, it was the smallest crowd to see the Boilermakers on Homecoming at home since 1993.
Akeem Hunt was the primary spark of the
Boilermaker offense with 90 yards rush-
ing and 27 yards receiving, including this
swing pass that netted 10 yards early in
the game.
Moments after Frankie
Williams' 39-yard interception
return for a touchdown, quar-
terback Danny Etling offers
the junior safety congratula-
tions on the electrifying play
midway through the first
quarter.
