Sterling Carter enjoyed the best game of his brief Boilermaker career, with a team-high 19 points in 18 minutes of action. Just two games later, he suffered a season-ending knee injury at Nebraska. Tom Campbell Rapheal Davis gets on the shoulders of A.J. Hammons to celebrate the victory over Indiana. Unfortunately for the Boilermakers, it was their last win of the season. Tom Campbell Forward Whitney Bays played at an All-Big Ten-caliber level for much of the conference season, overcoming her prior knee problems to earn Sixth Player-of-the- Year honors in the league. The team responded with six straight wins in her absence, sealing a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in nine years under Coach Sharon Versyp.
