Women In NCAA Again,
Men Stumble Into League Cellar

A highlight of the men's season was the impressive 72-54 win over
Indiana in front of a capacity crowd in Mackey Arena. Sterling Carter
enjoyed the best game of his brief Boilermaker career, with a team-high
19 points in 18 minutes of action. Just two games later, he suffered a
season-ending knee injury at Nebraska.

Rapheal Davis gets on the shoulders of A.J. Hammons to celebrate
the victory over Indiana. Unfortunately for the Boilermakers, it was
their last win of the season.

Forward Whitney Bays played at an All-Big Ten-caliber
level for much of the conference season, overcoming
her prior knee problems to earn Sixth Player-of-the-
Year honors in the league.

The game after KK Houser suffered a devastating knee injury in a
loss at Michigan State, the senior guard was in coaching mode.
The team responded with six straight wins in her absence, sealing
a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in nine years
under Coach Sharon Versyp.
