.203, limiting the Boilermakers to
their third-lowest clip after a .193
effort against Michigan State on
Sept. 27 and a .056 mark last Satur-
day at Illinois.
"Defensively, they're marvel-
ous," Shondell said. "They're a team
designed around their defense.
They're just really quick and they
make a lot of plays … Give Wiscon-
sin all the credit in the world for
keeping us from getting into any
kind of a groove."
The loss was Purdue's second
Wednesday match of the season
after sweeping Indiana on Oct. 8 in
Holloway Gymnasium.
Purdue plays on Wednesday
the next four weeks as well, start-
ing with a trip to Lincoln to take on
No. 14 Nebraska.
"It's definitely different play-
ing on Wednesdays because we
haven't really experienced that
a lot in the past, maybe just once
or twice," Evans said. "I think it's a
more mental change since you
can't worry about school that night
or after … you have to just totally
focus on the game as opposed to
the weekend where you're not in
the school week and it's all about
volleyball."
The Boilermakers will look to
split for the third straight weekend
Saturday as they host Minnesota,
one of just three schools to sweep
the season series with Purdue last
year along with Penn State and
Northwestern.
The Gophers have hovered
around the Top 25 all season, but
recently fell out after splitting
matches with Nebraska and Iowa
last weekend. The win over Iowa
snapped a three-match Gopher
losing streak.

The emergence of Danielle Cuttino has significantly cut Faye Adelaja's minutes. Adelaja
played in just one set and didn't total any statistics Wednesday against Wisconsin.
